Our recently expanded offerings now include complete off-grid electrical services – from installing your alternative energy system; to wiring your home or cottage, addition, garage, or outbuilding; to adding an electric vehicle charger.

Haliburton Solar and Wind’s new co-owner, Joel Ideson, specializes in creating off-grid solutions for residential and industrial applications. Joel is proud of what he brings to HSW with his extensive background and more than 20 years of experience as a Master Electrician. Haliburton Solar and Wind was established in 2013, in Haliburton Ontario, to provide innovative and reliable energy alternatives. The 100 Bear Pledge

“We wanted to create a unique initiative to coincide with this announcement,” said Carolina Barberi. “2020 was a rough year for many people in our community. In 2021, we want to spread thanks and kindness to our local frontline workers and HHHS at the same time.”

Since 1998, the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation has raised over $149,000 for hospitals and healthcare facilities in the region, by leading a fund-raising initiative selling stuffed animals. This year, the offering is “Humphrey” the bear.

Haliburton Solar and Wind pledges to purchase 100 “Humphrey” stuffed bears (25 per quarter) in an effort to bring a smile to the faces of Haliburton County’s frontline essential workers throughout 2021.

Haliburton Solar and Wind encourages community members to acknowledge essential workers who deserve a “Humphrey” bear. To submit a nomination, visit HSW’s social media sites and publicly share a story or anonymously submit a name via direct message.

“We want to make this as easy as possible,” said Barberi. “You tell us who deserves it, and we make sure 100 community members know just how appreciated they really are, by sending them a Humphrey the stuffed bear on your behalf. It’s that simple.”
